Sour, Sour Beer Y'all
What is sour beer you ask?
Sour beer is beer that has an intentionally acidic, tart or sour taste and like most beers, no two sours are the same. Some can be so sour that they make you pucker up, whereas others have a slightly tangy taste. The profile of the ‘sourness’ can depend on the brewing process and the amount of yeast and bacteria used in each batch.
We currently have four sour barrels brewing. Three of those barrels will be mixed with other beers in order to give them that slightly tangy taste; we call these 'flavor agents'. Only one barrel will go on to become a true sour beer.
